How long has Offutt been doing the air show?
Offutt has been doing air shows as we know them since 1972. This is the 43d Air Show.
How did it start?
See above!
How does it help with recruiting?
The Air & Space show highlights what the Military does, focusing on Aviation. Military Statics, the F-22, F-35 Demos and the many ground displays highlighting the different aspects of the military.
Why did you take a hiatus last year?
We took a hiatus last year because of our higher than normal operations and deployments. We are excited to be having the show this year and welcoming the community back on to base.
Will there be another show next year or when will there be a next one?
We are planning for another Air & Space Show in 2019 featuring the United States Thunderbirds.
What planes and performers can we see in the air this year?
Our Headline acts are the F-22 & F-35 Demos, they will then be joined by the P-38 and they will all fly together showcasing 70 years of United States Airpower. We
will also have RC-135, E-4, and B-2 fly overs. Our civilian acts include, Randy Ball’s Mig-17, Acemaker’s T-33, Aeroshell T-6 formation team, Re/Max Jump team and many more. We will also have several current Military and warbirds on the ramp for static displays, to include the C-5, KC-10, P-38, AC-47.
What kind of ground exhibits can we see?
We have increased our STEM area this year, exhibits will include Nebraska Education Television, National Weather Service, Brownell Talbot Robotic Team, and an amateur Radio Club. The always popular Kid’s Zone is back with a lot of entertainment for Kids.
What is the cost to attend?
The Cost is FREE!
How do you find parking?
We will have 4 off base parking lots that have a free shuttle to the Air Show: Bellevue University, Bellevue West, Bellevue East, and Southroads mall. There is also parking available on base.
