“Multicultural Youth Festival

AFROMAHA will be hosting the Dunia Youth Festival this Sunday afternoon at The RiverFront.

The Dunia Youth Festival is a multicultural event focused on middle school, high school, and early collegiate-aged youth. The afternoon will include fun activities that focus on empowerment and the celebration of diversity in our community.

AFROMAHA is partnering with several local organizations that serve the area’s young people and will offer information, resources, and interactive activities on Sunday! Enjoy live music and performances, as well as food trucks selling selections from around the world.

Don’t miss out on the inaugural Dunia Youth Festival, this Sunday from 1 to 5 PM at the Gene Leahy Mall Downtown Green event lawn.”

Omaha Memorial Day: Parade, 27 May

“Memorial Weekend Patriotic Concert

Kickstart the summer as Omaha commemorates Memorial Day with a Patriotic Parade in the Old Market, followed by a free concert at The RiverFront this Saturday.

Beginning at 10 AM in the Old Market, the Patriotic Parade will feature 80 different floats, organizations, and spectacles, including military vehicles, American historical costumes, and mounted guard. The parade will begin near 10th and Jackson Streets and will wrap its way around the Old Market before ending on Farnam Street.

Following the parade, join The RiverFront for a free concert featuring a performance from the United States Marine Corps marching band.

The afternoon will also include Fort Riley’s Commanding General’s Mounted Color Guard, the Tuskegee Airmen traveling exhibit, and an original P-51 C Tuskegee Mustang! Food trucks will be available from 10 AM until 10 PM near 13th and Farnam Streets.
