Today was the Chinese New Year celebration in Omaha. This Omaha event is one I look forward to every year.
This year, the Chinese New Year Gala was back at Westside Middle School.
The Confucius Institute is a great place to start learning Chinese.
This cute adorable pig bank was so hard to not take home. Unfortunately, I could not carry it. Too many pictures needed taking.
This beautiful screen back drop adds elegance to any selfie and photo keepsake for attending the event.
The University of Nebraska at Omaha had a nice booth.
The Omaha Performing Arts had a booth also and were fun to talk with.
Another of my favorites- Lion Dance!
This was beautiful and the first time I saw this.
The grand event was held in the auditorium. There were two new features that I enjoyed very much. This included two of my favorite musical instruments and Sichuan Face-Changing Opera.
The grand event begins!
Pipa:Ceilia Liu
Erhu:Xiabo Li
Sichuan Face-Changing Opera:Weiqi Zhong

A repeat favorite was the opera singer, Lily Zhang
