From our friends at MECA:
“Memorial Weekend Patriotic Concert
Kickstart the summer as Omaha commemorates Memorial Day with a Patriotic Parade in the Old Market, followed by a free concert at The RiverFront this Saturday.
Beginning at 10 AM in the Old Market, the Patriotic Parade will feature 80 different floats, organizations, and spectacles, including military vehicles, American historical costumes, and mounted guard. The parade will begin near 10th and Jackson Streets and will wrap its way around the Old Market before ending on Farnam Street.
Following the parade, join The RiverFront for a free concert featuring a performance from the United States Marine Corps marching band.
The afternoon will also include Fort Riley’s Commanding General’s Mounted Color Guard, the Tuskegee Airmen traveling exhibit, and an original P-51 C Tuskegee Mustang! Food trucks will be available from 10 AM until 10 PM near 13th and Farnam Streets.
