Thank you to Walter Paul for the interview.
Please tell us about yourself and your career before the Urban League.
I am the current Weitz Fellow at the Urban League. The Weitz Fellowship is a one-year program offered to recent Carleton College graduates to work at a non-profit organization in Omaha. At the Urban League, I promote the organization’s programs and events in the Marketing and Development department.
What in your background do you feel has prepared you for being part of the Urban League?
I’m from the North Omaha area, which is where the Urban League is located. Thus, I was aware of the Urban League and its services prior to joining the organization. My awareness of the type of work the League does coupled with my experience working with non-profit organizations in the past have adequately prepared me for my work at the League.
