Together is a nonprofit organization that specializes in homeless services, providing families and veterans in our community with case management, financial assistance, and navigation services. The goal is to either keep a family seeking our help in their home or to move a family into safe, affordable housing. This is done through the Horizons Program which provides the case management and navigation services aspect, as well as, financial assistance, food, furniture, identification, and bus tickets. Individuals, families, and veterans that are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless begin meeting with a Horizons Program case manager for a period of two to twelve months, and the case manager helps the household find housing and continue working towards stability and self-sufficiency.
You can support Together’s mission to end homelessness by volunteering in the choice food pantry by stocking and organizing food, helping in the warehouse by arranging household donations, or assisting in the community garden by harvesting produce, all of which goes directly to families in need. You can also support Together through financial contributions or donations of food, furniture, hygiene items, kitchenware, and cleaning products.
